Size guide bras

Did you know?

70% of women don't know their bra size and cup size.

However, a well-chosen and correctly sized bra allows you to feel good all day long and preserves the elasticity of your breasts.

To enhance your figure and feel good every day, all you need is a tape measure and follow the guide!

To determine your bra size, you will need to take two measurements without clothing and without pulling your tape measure too tightly .

1 Bust circumference
The bust measurement should be taken under the bust, where your bra sits on the back. The tape measure should be placed horizontally without being tight. The measurement of your bust measurement will give you your back measurement .
2 Chest size
The chest measurement should be taken at the tip of the breasts to determine the cup size that suits you. The tape measure should be placed horizontally without being tight on the chest. The chest measurement will give you your cup size .

Once you have both of your measurements, refer to the chart below to find your bra size. Start by determining your back size, then refer to the corresponding column to determine your cup size.

How do you know if you're wearing the right bra size?

Signs you're wearing the wrong bra size

Wearing the correct bra size is essential for optimal support and lasting comfort. A well-fitting bra supports the bust without compressing it, while the band remains level and parallel to theground. To determine your exact bra size, you need to measure both your underbust and bust measurements, then refer to our Size Guide. Several signs can indicate that your bra doesn't fit properly. If the band rides up at the back, your band size is probably too large. Conversely, if the band feels overly tight or leaves marks, it may be too small. The cups should fully enclose the bust without gaping or overflowing. If your breasts spill over the cups or at the neckline, opt for a larger cup size. If the cups wrinkle or gape, try a smaller cup size. The straps should not dig into your shoulders, and the underwires should fully surround the breasts without pressing into the tissue or causing discomfort under the arms.

When should you check your bra size again?

Your bust size can naturally change over time. Weight fluctuations, pregnancy, breastfeeding, hormonal changes or intensive physical activity can all affect your measurements. For this reason, we recommend measuring yourself every 12 to 18 months, or whenever your usual bras begin to feel less comfortable.

French, European or UK bra sizes: how do you find the right one?

Bra sizing systems vary from country to country. A French size does not correspond exactly to a European or UK size, as both the band measurements and cup lettering differ between systems. Before purchasing from an international brand, always check its size conversion chart. At Maison Lejaby, our Size Guide helps you determine your size using the French sizing system.

Choosing the right bra for your shape

Beyond size, the style of your bra should suit both your bust shape and your preferences.
